My daughter, Brittany, was born 8 years ago, with DS. She has always been very healthy with the exception of your seasonal cold and expected ear infections (that is if you ignore the cong. heart defects). She is also very smart - learning her numbers, letters/ sounds, basic addition/ subtraction and all the other stuff a smart girl like her should know. She has a large spoken vocabulary although not all of it's understood by the outside world.
I have never given Brittany any supplemental vitamins, not even your over the counter Flintstone vitamin. I've been doing alot of research and reading alot of positive outcomes parents are seeing with thier kids. So to make a long question short, it is too late to start her on TNI or is it safe to start at any age?
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Donna |

My son is 7 years old and he starts to take TNI in 1 month old. But, start from around 4 years old, i reduce the dosage in half just because i don't want him to rely on those products in life time, i don't know if i am correct in doing this. anyone advise? BYW, thank God, my son is in good health when born, no other defect except DS. He is going well in mainstram primary shcool except that he is quite slow learner in his class and sometimes very naughty. anyone has the same experience to share?? |

I have a 9 year old son who had been on the product for 5 years. We gave the product to him in his formula. He is very healthy and high functioning. Due to changes in family life, he didn't receive the producy for the past four years, but I really believe that the product was instrumental min his early development. I now have custody of my son and I will be putting him back on the supplements. It is very important that you realize that this is a program that your child will need for life. Their systems needs the nutrients that they cannot get from food or over the counter products. My son is a product of years of product use. You shouldn't expect results over night. You may e-mail me with an questions, but I can only speak from my experience.

Hi Donna! Sounds like your daughter is doing well. I have an 8 year old son with DS and ADHD. He too is doing well but gets quite a few sinus infections, no heart problems. I started using the vitamisns about a month ago and so far there is not a big difference to speak of. i understand it can take a few months to show a response so I'm trying to give it some time. Sorry I couldn't be more help. If you ever want to talk about anything else in general about your child even if it's just to hear about other kids with DS and how they are doing you can e-mail me @ veraplyons.com
