NuTriVene Neuromins DHA

Neuromins DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid considered essential for brain and eye development. DHA is the component found in breastmilk responsible for the enhanced cognitive function of breastfed children.  
 
The Neuromins brand is a vegetarian source of DHA and is considered one of the purest forms of DHA. The FDA has approved Neuromins DHA for use in infant formulas in the U.S. and it is often used in infant formulas worldwide.  
 
Research has shown that "Deficiencies of DHA may be responsible for abnormal signal transmission associated with learning disability, cognitive deficit, and visual dysfunction. These abnormalities in the signal transduction process can be partially corrected by supplementation with a diet enriched with DHA."(1) Another study showed that DHA "significantly enhances visual acuity maturation and cognitive function. DHA is a conditionally essential nutrient for neurodevelopment in humans."(2)  
 
Essential fatty acids may also "promote the adhesion of probiotics to mucosal surfaces which augments the health-promoting effects of probiotics."(3)  
 
Neuromins DHA contains 100 mg of DHA per gelcap. Other ingredients include: high oleic sunflower oil, ascorbyl palmitate (Vitamin C) and mixed natural tocopherol (Vitamin E) as antioxidants, and natural mixed carotene for color in a gelatin capsule (gelatin, water and glycerin). Gelcaps may also be pierced with a pin or cut open with scissors and the liquid added to foods and drinks.(60 softgels per bottle)  
 
Dosage: Neuromins DHA is typically dosed at 1 or 2 gelcaps per day or as recommended by your physician or other healthcare provider.
